I think I've seen some papers on google scholar dealing with FPGAs, but I haven't looked into that aspect. At this point, success for me means that I'm still working on it. Every once and a while, I find that a function is behaving a little weird and it turns out that I implemented it in some wonky way that doesn't make sense any more.
